Labour Standards - Statement of Employment

Effective July 1, 2002, employers will be required to provide a new employee with a written statement outlining the basic terms and conditions of employment, such as hours of work and hourly rate of pay. The employer must keep a copy of this statement and make this copy available to the employee upon request. This document is meant to ensure that employees are aware of the fundamental terms and conditions of the employment relationship.
