Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are proud of their diverse and vibrant culture. Visitors to the province can enjoy a wide variety of cultural activities. The province is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and provides many beautiful parks, libraries, museums, restaurants, live entertainment, vibrant nightlife and festivals for your enjoyment. You can also experience the richness of our local and international arts. The Rooms, the province’s newest world class facility, plays host to travelling exhibitions and artists and is home to the Provincial Art Gallery, Museum and Archives.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, Newfoundland and Labrador is one of the best places in the world to experience nature at its finest. Recreational activities including golfing, hiking camping and boating are popular in summer and autumn. During the winter months skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular among residents and tourists.
