Note:

Family Benefit is a set amount of basic assistance. The amount is based on the number of adults in the family and the living arrangements of the family. Family Benefits provide support for basic living expenses, such as food, clothing, utilities, etc. Family Benefits are provided in addition to other benefits such as fuel, special needs items, shelter and the Drug Card. Assistance for children is now provided though the combined Newfoundland and Labrador Child Benefit and the Canada Child Tax Benefit.
