DRUG CARD

In addition to these rates, individuals and families in receipt of Income Support are also automatically eligible for the NLPDP ID Drug Card which provides full coverage for approved prescription drugs, dispensing fees and limited dental coverage

EXTENDED DRUG CARD

The Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment  is actively working at assisting individuals and families into employment by extending drug card coverage to individuals and families when they move off Income Support as a result of employment. Any individual or family who moves off Income Support as a result of employment is automatically entitled to receive an Extended Drug Card for six months. The Extended Drug Card covers the full cost of approved prescription drugs and dispensing fees for a period of six months from the date the individual or family is no longer eligible for Income Support.
